We had a fabulous room; it was enormous, with a 3 double-door bay window onto a large, shared [but zoned and divided] balcony, and we could see the sea, down through the trees. We could also sit outside at the table and chairs there, overlooking the main gardens and the flat garden which is on the roof of the swimming pool! Inside, there were two comfortable chairs, a table, chest of drawers and wardrobe and a large TV; also a well-stocked tea/coffee tray. Good sized, clean bathroom with a terrific shower. The pool was wonderful! There's an excellent system of exchanging your door card for a swimming towel. The changing facilities and shower were great and the temperature of the water just right for covering lengths after a busy day! Beautiful grounds with interesting trees. An easy walk to the bottom of the gardens, to the gate, where we could use a code and then walk into Teignmouth and the shops. Excellent breakfasts with good choices of everything. This meant we could go out for the day without needing lunch! Very helpful to have a car park, outside the main entrance.

Lovely hotel, fabulous location and grounds. We stayed in a family room, 203 and it was perfect, big room with lovely views. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Very doggie friendly, our dog loved it. Hotel supplied dogbed and bowls on request. Breakfast was excellent and we ate in the restaurant for 3 nights and food was very good and reasonably priced. Location is great, 5 minute walk to beach through the gardens and similar to train station. Pool was excellent, good showers there too, we swam twice a day, was usually quiet. It is a short walk from the hotel. Hotel was lovely and warm. Looking forward to returning in the spring!

Kim

My son and I each had a room with a single bed, which was perfectly adequate and great value as breakfast was included in the very reasonable price. The staff were all happy and friendly. The indoor swimming pool looked fantastic although we didn't find time to use it, as we were out walking every day through the splendid garden down to the sea front and into the town. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choice, with tables next to large windows looking over the grounds to the sea.

What a little gem this is. The hotel is worn, but gives it a comfortable and homey feel. It was clean, the staff were friendly, did everything they could to offer a warm welcome and accommodate any requests. The room was a good size, dated but very clean and comfortable.... And big! The location is excellent, good parking and nice pool. It is dog friendly and just felt very relaxed. The food was excellent and a good price. Will definitely be staying here again.

Karen

The room we were moved to. Breakfast was good and plenty of it. If you want fried eggs/poached you need to ask. The location was superb if you walked through the gardens out of the bottom gate you were on the seafront. All the staff we spoke to were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is super dog friendly (so if you don't like dogs don't stay there) so there are dogs everywhere. It is not a modern hotel very oldy worldy
